So Christa told me that she learned a brilliant new idea to get your kids to eat spinach. Make a frozen berry shake and add handfuls of fresh spinach. I tried this for dinner tonight and my kids loved it. All I put in was milk, frozen blueberries and strawberries, ice, vanilla, and just a bit of sugar to sweeten. And I can't forget the three cups of spinach!!!! Even Ryan liked them! I guess I might have to make these daily to get fruit and some veggies into Eric.

I have been wanting to try those. I have heard of people adding a fresca to them if you wanted to make them bubbly
Yes, I love learning new recipes to add spinach or any other healthy thing to meals or snacks. I first tried spinach in smoothies with my friend's "smoothie surprise" recipe, which is different than this one:
Spinach (I use several handfuls)
1 banana (frozen is best)
yogurt (I use 1-2 cups plain)
Pineapple juice
It's green, which is fun for St. Patrick's day or just to have a different color. But you can't taste the spinach at all! I like the berries idea. I'll try it.
